Part I:  verses 1-20

This is a good scene to have the students act out.   Each person will learn a lesson about humbling themselves and how to treat each other.  At the end of their skit have whomever acts as Jesus read verses 34 and 35.

Part II

Fishermen sometimes tell tall tales about their fishing adventures.  Which statements below are true, T, and which ones are false, F?  Write the verse/verses that prove your answer.

1.The events in Chapter 13 take place after the Feast of Passover.
2.The devil put it into Judas heart to betray Jesus.
3.Jesus washed the disciples feet.
4.Peter said he didn’t want Jesus to wash his feet.
5.Jesus gave Peter a bath instead.
6.Jesus gave the disciples an example to follow.
7.Jesus didn’t know who would betray Him.
8.Jesus said a servant is not greater than his master.
9.Jesus said “to love one another” is a commandment.
10.     Jesus said all people would that we were disciples of Jesus if we love one                          another.

Part III

In your own words explain what Jesus meant when He said He was setting an example for His disciples to follow.  What lesson was He trying to teach them?  To help you with your answer, read Luke 22:23-27 and Mark 9:33-35.
